Fits with, Next up and Set so far

Three things help you choose the next record without leaving the decks: Fits with under each deck, your own Next up list, and Set so far, the tracklist of what's been played.

Fits with

Under each deck, a Fits with row shows up to four records from your library that fit the one on that deck. It works on your partner's deck too: under their record, you see records from your own library that fit it.

What fits means

The word on each card

Each card shows one word for where that record would take the mix, compared with the energy of the one on the deck:

The four cards spread across as many of these as your library offers, so you see more than one way to go.

Loading one

Press A or B on a card to load it on that deck, or drag the card onto a deck. Press + to add it to Next up. Right-click a card for the same choices. A click on the card itself does nothing, so you can't load a record by accident.

Next up

Next up is your own list of what's coming. It fills only when you add to it: press + on a card, or right-click any track in your library and choose Add to Next up. Load from it with A or B, or drag a track onto a deck, and press × to take one off. It holds your last 12 picks. Your partner never sees it.

Set so far

Set so far lists every record that starts on either deck, yours and your partner's, in order, with the time it started and who played it. The clock starts with the first record. Press Copy tracklist to get the list as plain lines of time, artist and title. The list lives in that tab only, so copy it before you close it.

Next up and Set so far sit in two tabs beside the library, above the chat.

What it works from

Fits with draws on the records in your library that Mix//Sync has analyzed, and leaves out DJ mixes and files that can't play. Your library is never sent to your partner: the cards under their deck come from your own records. It suggests; which record comes next is always your call.
