How it works
Two decks, a mixer and your own music, in your browser. Mix alone, or send a link and mix with a friend on another computer.
Sync
Press SYNC and the deck takes the tempo of the record that's playing and comes in beat-locked. Alone on one computer, or with a friend on another.
- The synced deck follows the master, even when the master's tempo changes.
- It lines up beats, not bars. Which phrase you bring the next record in on is your call.
- Every track gets a beat grid, or brings its own from Rekordbox. If one is off, fix it by hand in a few clicks.

The mixer
A two-channel mixer between the decks, laid out where you'd look for it.
- TRIM, HI, MID and LOW on each channel. Turn an EQ knob all the way down and that band is gone.
- An FX knob under each fader. Choose FILTER, ECHO, NOISE or SPACE above the crossfader.
- Beat dots on each channel show where the deck is in the bar.
- A crossfader with a small mark at its center (double-click it to center), a MAIN fader for the whole mix, and a limiter that catches peaks before they clip.

Partner audio
When a friend joins, you hear their decks live and they hear yours. Only the sound travels: your files never leave your computer.
- Their decks and yours line up in your ears, so a blend between the two of you is a real blend.
- Either of you can play, cue or jump on either deck, and the mixer is shared. Tempo, hot cues, loops and grids stay with the DJ playing the deck.
- If your partner drops, your decks, your recording and sync keep going, and they rejoin the same session.
Your partner's deckRecording
Press Rec in the top bar, mix, and press it again to stop. You get the whole mix, both sides of a back-to-back.
- Press Rec before you play and it waits for the first sound.
- The take is saved to your computer as it records. If the tab closes or the browser crashes, it's there the next time you open Mix//Sync.
- Download it as a 320 kbps MP3, ready the moment you stop.
- Your newest mix plays back on your home page, with the records you played.
- In a back-to-back, Rec records on your own computer. If you both want a copy, both of you press it.

Rekordbox import
Export your collection from Rekordbox as XML and Mix//Sync reads it. Nothing to rebuild.
- Your playlists, in their folders.
- Your hot cues, on their pads every time a track loads.
- Your beat grids, as you set them.
- Rekordbox is never changed: Mix//Sync only reads the export. Memory cues and saved loops stay in Rekordbox.
- Not on Rekordbox? Point Mix//Sync at a folder of music instead.

Energy shelves
Rate nothing. Your library sorts itself into the shelves a set moves through.
- Openers & warm-up, Peak time and Closers & comedown fill from your playlists.
- Dark & groovy and Emotional are yours to fill: right-click a record and choose a shelf.
- A shelf filled from your playlists says so.
- While you play, Fits with under each deck shows records from your library that could come next.
